Throughout the presidential election, Robert De Niro made it clear he's no fan of Donald Trump, calling him "so blatantly stupid" and saying he wanted to "punch him in the face."
De Niro has now had a little time to come to terms with Trump's presidency, but he's not softening his rhetoric...
On "The View" on Friday, the Hollywood legend explained his threat of violence toward then-candidate Trump.
“I said that because he said that about somebody, that he would like to punch them in the face. How dare he say that to the crowd? How dare he say the things he does? Of course I want to punch him in the face," De Niro said
He clarified that it was only a "symbolic thing," but he believes it's important for Trump to hear how he makes people feel.
"It’s not good to feel that way. It’s not good to start that stuff up, but at the same time sometimes when people are bullies like that, that’s what you have to do to shut them up. Bully them back."
