$FANUY M-1iA Picking Robot Sorts Pills By Color - FANUC Robotics Industrial Automation

Funuc is by far the leader in actual Robotics and Machine vision. Machine Vision is going to be the next explosion in automation. I don't own, waiting for the stock market to correct or collapse first., and will buy on any dip, it is maybe over priced here.

The stock should outperform industry leaders Rockwell(ROK) and Schneider(SU.PA).

Rockwell's main asset in this area is a division called Allen-Bradley which dominates the PLC (programmable process controller) and HMI (human machine interface) segment of automation. As a lay person the HMI would be the TV screen that any operator would use to control the process, switches and lights are not even used any more. The PLC is a powerful computer which is programmed to perform functions by logic. This is the item that starts and stops motors, valves etc by the parameters that were programmed.

Schneider is next in line in automation. They produce all the Control Panels, Relays, fuses and everything else to tie things together. Being an European based company they made most of their original products to a standard called IEC (International Electric Code) which were always more compact and denser than the North American standard which was NEMA (National Electric Manufacturers Association). Over time as North American Companies tried to export goods around the world they had to comply with IEC items and Schneider was in the sweet spot. Over the last 20 years Schneider actually ended up buying many of the American Electric Manufacturers and integrated those products into its portfolio. Some of those acquistions were rather large such as Square D and Modicon. Their next acquisition could even end up to be Rockwell.

Funuc is by far the leader in actual Robotics and Machine vision. Machine Vision is going to be the next explosion in automation.
