Industry Leaders in 4K Ultra HD Film Restoration Combine Forces & Resources
SAN JOSE, CA - 1 Feb, 2017 - NanoTech Entertainment (OTCPINK: NTEK), a pioneer in bringing the 4K experience to consumers, announced today that it has entered into a partnership with illuminate Hollywood, the premiere Hollywood based post-production company. 4K Studios will be relocating its entire operations, including two state-of-the-art 4K Ultra HD film scanners to illuminate. Combined with the 4K Studios team, the extensive remastering and restoration resources at illuminate will provide several proprietary and market competitive advantages to UltraFlix, NanoTech Entertainment’s all screen and all device 4K entertainment network.
Ivan Gulas, who recently assumed the position of CEO of NanoTech Entertainment, spearheaded this relationship with illuminate’s founders Executive Chairman Steven Wiener and CEO Jim Hardy. Gulas is an industry insider, whose entertainment technology company purchased Hollywood’s legendary Pacific Title Studios in the mid 90’s where he massively expanded the facility to enable the completion of such projects as the digital restoration of the Wizard of Oz for re-release by Warner Bros. Pacific Title Studios also participated on such visual effects reliant projects as Titanic, Deep Impact, and From Earth to the Moon which helped to herald in photorealistic CGI technologies.
Gulas stated that “illuminate Hollywood has an industry reputation for uncompromising quality and (has) an experienced team of professionals who pride themselves on exceptional results. This strategic partnership, which we anticipate will expand, will ensure that we will have the highest quality of remastering that can be exhibited on all screens, including factory installed UltraFlix apps on nearly all Smart 4K Ultra HD TV‘s sold in the US (and soon internationally), blu-ray disks and cinema screens.” Steven Wiener, Chairman of illuminate Hollywood also noted that “illuminate brings to the table advanced and unique technological solutions that result in pristine quality, and enable remastering film to digital restoration that otherwise would be commercially unreasonable.”
Other resources at illuminate include 4k production stages which also fit well with UltraFlix’s near-term initiatives, noted Gulas, who will also look forward to Jim Hardy’s participation in expanding new and original content on UltraFlix.
