Former Republican presidential candidate and entrepreneur Herman Cain slammed critics of a joke that comedian Jerry Seinfeld tweeted to promote a new episode of his podcast.
Seinfeld, best known for his eponymous 1990s sitcom, tweeted that fellow comedian Lewis Black would be joining him in his next adventure on "Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee".
"New Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee; Lewis Black; Black's Life Matters," he wrote, receiving a harsh response thereafter from Twitter users not amused at his satirical reference to "Black Lives Matter".
"Lighten up, America," Cain said, "Some of these people going berserk over this need to get a life."
Cain said that such people always want to find something to "freak out" over, so "now they are trying to nitpick" Seinfeld.
They have nothing else to do but go on Twitter, he said.
Cain also reacted to the first week of Donald Trump's presidency.
