Baltimore Ravens tight end Benjamin Watson spoke at the 44th annual March for Life today, calling for Americans to unite to end the "unthinkable practice" of abortion.
"These lives are important, the pre-born are important," Watson said on "The First 100 Days" tonight.
He said that one of the major messages of his address was the need for men to help "lead the charge” in defense of life.
"My challenge was to men, including myself, to stand up for these women and also to stand for the pre-born," Watson said. "They truly are our most precious gifts."
He explained that it's critical to stand up for those who are voiceless and have no way to stand up for themselves.
"The reason why I stand for life is because I believe God created all life. And we live in a world that is anti-God in a lot of ways."
