If there is a symbol change through FINRA is there

If there is a symbol change through FINRA is there any chance that it could show up under "Additions" prior to being switched to? Like... if the process was to add it first, then to delete the old symbol, then use the new one.... OR.... does it typically only show up under "Symbol/Name Changes"? The question is just about the process, I am not insinuating that our symbol could get deleted and then replaced. My question is about figuring out if we have any way in advance to notice an upcoming symbol change by seeing it first on the Additions, as opposed to having no notice of it and suddenly seeing it on the Symbol/Name Changes list. This is assuming that anyone here has actually watched close enough to notice as it is occurring.
