Loon Dem Lawmaker, Matthews Float Idea of Impeaching Trump
Sean Hannity called out the "alt-radical left" for continuing to claim that the election of Donald Trump as the 45th President was not legitimate.
He highlighted the fact that the idea of impeachment is already being discussed. MSNBC host Chris Matthews asked Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA), one of the 60-plus Democrats who are boycotting Friday's inauguration, whether impeachment proceedings could be brought if it comes out that there was "collusion" between Russia and Trump's campaign.
Waters said impeachment should be "on the table" in that scenario and questioned whether the Kremlin helped come up with the term "crooked Hillary."
If we discover that Donald Trump or his advocates played a role in helping to devise strategy — if they’re the ones who came up with 'Crooked Hillary,' if they’re the ones who came up with, 'she's ill, something's wrong with her energy,’ and the way that he basically described her during the campaign. I think that is something that would put the question squarely on the table whether or not he should be impeached.
Rev. Al Sharpton said that the "process that elected [Trump] was not legitimate," citing Russian "influence" over the vote.
"I told you this was coming," said Hannity, adding that at this point the left has "tried everything" to bring down Trump.
"There is something sinister going on here. They don't want to accept the verdict of the American people."
