Trump Meets With Judge Nap to Talk Supreme Court

Fox News Senior Judicial Analyst Judge Andrew Napolitano discussed with Shepard Smith his meeting with President-elect Donald Trump, which focused on replacing Justice Antonin Scalia on the Supreme Court.

Napolitano, who was once appointed by former Gov. Tom Kean (R-N.J.) to sit on the Garden State's Superior Court bench, was invited by Trump to meet with him earlier Tuesday.

He said Trump hopes to nominate a replacement for Scalia "in the next two weeks, or sooner".

It is Trump's wish that whoever succeeds Scalia, who died in 2016, thinks like him and adheres to Scalia's belief that the Constitution is not a 'living" document.

Respecting Trump's private decision-making process, Napolitano would not share which names Trump is considering, only to say that the choice will likely come from the list of about two dozen possible nominees that the president-elect released publicly last Summer.

"[He is] faithful to finding the type of person he said he would be looking for," Napolitano said of Trump.

Trump also asked Napolitano about how to properly "diminish the gravity of economic regulation" after he takes office, so that he can help businesses of all sizes.
