$ASTI The International Consumer Electronics Show (International CES) showcases more than 3,800 exhibiting companies, and it attracts the world’s business leaders and pioneering thinkers. Since 1967, thousands of products have been announced at the yearly show, including many that have transformed our lives. In 1970, the video cassette player (VCR) was first introduced. The first camcorder and CD player were introduced at CES in 1981, the first DVD introduced in 1996, and the first tablets, netbooks, and android devices in 2010; all devices which spearheaded the current advancements that have shaped our media, entertainment and social interactions today.
