BorderCross brings awareness to the dangers of human trafficking…an ex-contender…an opportunity…and a kidnapping.
BorderCross is based on Danny "Boy" Jackson, retired,
the most popular light heavyweight to never win the title is offered an "exhibition" fight against the brash current champion.
The fight will raise money for "La Oportunidad" a non-profit organization dedicated to helping Hispanic immigrants.
Divorced, demoralized, desperate and far past his glory days, Danny accepts the bout, solely for the twenty thousand dollars training per diem. Though he is to be housed in luxury at the Hilton, Danny checks into a seedy motel on the outskirts of Gomez, Texas with his fourteen-year-old son. He knows that although the bout is billed as an exhibition, bookies in Vegas are taking odds on a knockout, and he wants to "fly under the radar,' avoiding potential foul play before the bout. But after leaving the room for three minutes to buy a calling card at the leasing office, he comes back to an empty room...His son, Jamie is gone. And so, begins a frantic search, and it is quickly revealed that Jamie, has been taken by human traffickers and Danny has only hours to unravel the mystery of his whereabouts and rescue him before he is gone forever. The ex-contender will need all his fighting skills as he closes in on the criminal network that kidnapped his boy and he quickly finds that the perpetrators are much closer than he thinks.
A hard driving, action packed film stressing the importance of faith and family, BorderCross will make you want to hug your child a little tighter and keep a little closer eye the next time you leave the room.

Each episode presents songwriters like Gordon Kennedy who co-wrote "I Can Change the World," recorded by Eric Clapton (and was the 1997 Grammy Song of the Year!). Gordon tells the story how he and his co-writers had given up on the song as unrecordable. Later they were surprised to find out Clapton had picked it up and even more surprised when it received Grammy honors. Kris Kristofferson flew helicopters out to Gulf of Mexico oil rigs to supplement his income while trying to make it as a songwriter in Nashville. These inside stories (and many more) accompany the performances of each top hit songwriters on the Legends & Lyrics shows.
