Billions in US research dollars. Then get patent on drug and milk system for 20 years.
FDA is another problem. Controlled by people with $$$ signs in front of their eyes...then we have the greasing of the palms.
FDA slow to let MMJ in as it is a threat to opioid business...and that is one HUGE lobby. To include cancer treatments.
Profit in pain and death... Grim Reaper business...
Profit yes... Fleecing....NO
