Hardcore Bullies': L.L. Bean Board Member Pushes B

A left-wing website is calling for a boycott of retailer L.L. Bean - along with many other organizations - because one of the company's board members donated to a pro-Donald Trump PAC during the presidential campaign.
The outdoor apparel seller was added to the list because of contributions made by Linda Bean, who is the granddaughter of the company's founder and one of 50 co-owners of the company.
The company responded by calling the boycott effort in response "misguided."
"L.L.Bean does not endorse political candidates, take positions on political matters, or make political contributions. Simply put, we stay out of politics. To be included in this boycott campaign is simply misguided, and we respectfully request that Grab Your Wallet reverse its position," Executive Chairman Shawn Gorman wrote on Facebook.
Linda Bean joined "Fox & Friends" this morning, explaining that she sees the boycott call as "bullying" of her, L.L. Bean and the other companies that she owns.
Bean said the donation was a personal choice unrelated to the company, noting that her cousin, the CEO of L.L. Bean, supported Barack Obama four years ago.
"It's a double standard. Both these guys won. ... My cousin's candidate and my candidate. But I'm the one who's being targeted and vilified and asked to be taken off the board," she said.
President-elect Donald Trump tweeted a message of encouragement this morning and called on Americans to buy L.L. Bean products.
Bean said the black-list is being driven by a "small kernel of hardcore bullies out in California trying to control what we do, what we buy, what we sell in Maine."
"I never back down if I feel I'm right," she said, emphasizing that she is speaking for herself, not L.L. Bean.
