Kisco acquired Specialty Coating Systems about a year ago

A few things are intriguing me here, QMC had a PR just a few weeks later in which Steve was quoted "We value our relationship with Kisco and look forward to working with them at DisplayWeek to continue growing the current customer partnerships they have facilitated and build upon the momentum we are developing as a team,”

1. SCS has a location in Austin
2. It appears they are involved in areas in which QDs could be used in the future if they aren't already. One being medical coatings/Bio-Medicine not to mention Parylene Coatings could also be integrated into solar cells as well! Check out this article

I never really recall seeing anyone connect the dots on Kisco's acquisition of SCS and if SCS is one of the partnerships Kisco has facilitated. SCS is attending many forums in 2017 including APEX EXPO in February and Biomed Device Boston in May.

Although the demand for QDs is greater for displays at the current moment, bio-medicine, automotive, solar, etc will also demand QDs increasingly over the next 10 years and both Kisco and Nitto Denko are great partners given their involvement in all of these potential industries that will be using QDs soon!!!
