You Chicagoites can be really mean at times.
My Dainty Darling Dove has a very sharp tongue at times. A little earlier today I decided that I wanted to sample a new brand of crackers we had bought yesterday. She was on the phone with a friend when I hollered out "where did you put the crackers?". I heard her say to her friend as she marched into the kitchen with phone in hand and next to her ear, "my poor husband needs some help". She immediately went to the kitchen table and picked up the box that was at my place and handed it to me. As she walked out of the kitchen she was telling her friend, "The poor dear is blind in one eye and stupid in the other".
