GoProto survey forecasts 2017 increases in prototy

PORTLAND, Ore., Jan. 09, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- GoProto, a Portland-based quick-turn manufacturing services provider that does prototyping and short run production for a spectrum of start-ups to large global technology companies, surveyed attendees at the Inside 3D Printing group of the Frontier Tech Forum 2016 in San Diego, California December 14 - 15, and found the following:
- 82% of attendees expect to increase all types of rapid prototyping in the year ahead
- 64% expect 3D printing to be their most commonly-used type of rapid prototyping method
- 85% expect to utilize conventional methods including cast urethane, machining, sheet metal or injection molding for prototyping some parts.
