WASHINGTON, Jan. 06, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- DuPont Fabros Technology Inc. (NYSE: DFT ), a leading owner, developer, operator and manager of enterprise-class, carrier-neutral, large scale multi-tenant wholesale data centers, today announced that seven of its data centers within three markets that require SSAE 16 attestation have been found to be suitable in design and operating effectively, each receiving an unqualified Service Organization Controls 1 (“SOC 1”) report. The seven data centers are located in Virginia, California and Illinois. These reports were prepared under Statement of Standards for Attestation Engagement No. 16 (“SSAE 16”) by one of the top four independent auditing firms.
“Completing the SSAE 16 requirements annually represents DFT’s ongoing commitment to serving our customers,” said Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer Scott Davis. “We take great pride in knowing that our customers may rely on the control environments we put in place within our data centers.”
SSAE 16 is an attestation standard put forth by the Auditing Standards Board of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants for reporting on controls at organizations that provide services to user entities, which provides an acceptable method for those user entities to obtain assertions about a service organization’s internal controls without conducting their own, separate assessments.
