TechXtend Promotes Kevin Askew to Vice President a

EATONTOWN, N.J., Jan. 05, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- TechXtend, a leading value-added provider of safety and security, data center, client computing, disaster recovery and virtualization solutions today announced the promotion of Kevin Askew to Vice President and General Manager of TechXtend. Mr. Askew joined the company in 2010 as Senior Sales Manager and was promoted to Director of Sales in July 2011, and Senior Director of Sales in 2014. He is responsible for the day-to-day management of the sales and vendor relations teams.
In his new role, Mr. Askew will continue to report to William R. Botti, Executive Vice President, Wayside Technology Group (NASDAQ: WSTG ), parent company of TechXtend. “Kevin’s tenacity has helped change the direction of the business, and his fortitude and positive outlook have helped redefine TechXtend’s sales strategies. He’s helped TechXtend become a true Value Added Reseller, and has taken control of virtually every aspect of the business from sales, marketing and operations. Mr. Askew will be responsible for TechXtend’s overall operational strategy and will continue to lead the sales team, including the new education team. In 2016, Askew spearheaded the company’s technology outreach in the K-12 and higher education market, building a team of public sector experts strategically located throughout the state of New Jersey.

With over 25 years of experience in the VAR/LAR community in various sales and management roles, Askew started his career in 1992 with MicroWarehouse, Inc., after attending Rider College in Lawrenceville, New Jersey. An active community member, he is a former Councilman in Berkeley Township, and a member of the Hurricane Sandy Relief Fund Committee, focused on raising money for displaced families in Berkeley Township, New Jersey. Askew also served as Vice President of the Berkeley Township Board of Education, and was a member of the Ocean County Workforce Investment Board and Ocean County Commission on Missing and Exploited Children
A native of New Jersey, Askew currently resides in Bayville, New Jersey with his wife and two children.
