Interesting article, but they are in very early stages so far -- animal studies. The only real overlap seems to be in the mention of psoriasis. Using a drug like that with as yet unknown broad long-term systemic effects would be something that a responsible doctor would do only after other treatments failed. "Swatting a fly with a nuclear bomb" comes to mind.
I hope they are on to something -- because we need as much understanding as we can get about immune system function, how to turn off the autoimmune response, etc. But they're a long way from human clinical trials, and I don't see them as being realistic competition as a first-line treatment to Prurisol -- assuming, of course, that Prurisol works as we hope it will.
