Knowing the present situation without acknowledging the circumstances that led us here....I believe most who fall into this category have left or have decided not to invest. THERE lies the Problem.
Investors who are aware and invest despite this will continue to support the Company until it is successful. Thankfully, it looks like the Company was able to pick up some deep pocketed investors after the revelation of the N-Assay. I believe that many investors are keen to make a nice ROI, but they are also in it because they know how valuable it will be in the fight against the rise of antibiotic resistant bacteria.
Going back to my first thought, I suspect your opinion of the shorting action is similarly short sighted. Easy for you and others of like mind to simply state you don't give any credence to the possibility of manipulation to sway opinions since most people don't believe in conspiracies in general.
I also suspect that those involved in the manipulation are working hard to push investors to not believe in the manipulation; 1) it works in favor of their narrative that there is something fundamentally wrong with the Company and 2) there will be less people looking to pursue them legally. I hope that 2) is a serious concern of theirs that has been growing and will continue to grow until it consumes them into jumping out of windows and I pray that they don't hit any living creature on the way down.
