Well....ok....but when referring to this on a balance sheet:
"Goodwill is an asset. Companies all the time want to build goodwill with their governments"
....any knowing investor understands that "goodwill" is complete bull shit. When I see a balance sheet that is weighted in favor of good will.....I walk away.
Yes..it is a given asset....but it should be viewed as tempered as possible!
