Criminal leftists - GWU Lifts U.S. History Course Requirement for History Majors
You can't say enough about how nasty that is.
Talk about irony.
George Washington University -- a school in Washington, D.C., founded to celebrate the legacy of the first American president, George Washington -- recently eliminated its requirement for history majors to take a course in American history.
According to the school newspaper, The Hatchet, history department faculty decided the change would be a way to recruit new students "to better reflect a globalizing world."
"According to a lot of professors, the founding fathers are a bunch of old rich white guys who owned slaves," syndicated radio host Larry Elder said Monday on "Fox & Friends." "As a result, they're no longer relevant."
"I call this the access of indoctrination. Schools have long since passed the line from education to indoctrination, and this is one more step toward that."
The American Council of Trustees and Alumni released a report in July stating that one-third of America's top colleges do not require history majors to take a single course in U.S. history.
Elder said he believes these new requirements stem from faculties being dominated by liberals.
"Kids are learning that America is nothing more than a series of incidents that oppress people, whether it's Native Americans or women or blacks or Hispanics or Asian people," he said. "That's what they're learning."
