Our Dumbass-elect Donald Trump has made it perfectly clear that the only person he’s willing to listen to is himself (and maybe his lusted after daughter, Ivanka) – so he’s definitely not going to like the message that The Late Show host Stephen Colbert recently sent him an interview with John Dickerson’s Face the Nation.

And then there was this key moment that really blew all viewers’ minds. During the interview, Colbert tried to give Trump some much-needed advice, considering that when he takes office in January, the number of people he can blame for things is going to dwindle significantly.
Colbert first revealed that he’d been so confident that Trump would lose the election that he hadn’t even bothered to have any jokes planned in case Trump won during his live show on Election Night. Colbert then added that if Trump were smart, he would be getting himself well-acquainted with the US Constitution, because Colbert said “I’m not sure if he’s as familiar with it as one would hope.”
Colbert then tried to give Trump some well-intended advice, considering that “the buck stops here” and he will have to accept all responsibility for the future of America once he begins his term. Colbert said:
“He’s famous for blaming other people for something going wrong. That’s over. The first time he blames somebody else for something that he did, I think even people who like him will lose faith because… however you feel about the president, you’ve got to take the punch.”
So now the real question is what will your role be in this? Which is to say, how will history remember you? Will you stand by while all of this happens to your country, or will you take this grassroots call of action to resist Trump and his agenda?
