CAMBRIDGE, MA --(Marketwired - December 21, 2016) - Pegasystems Inc . (
To keep up with today's rapid pace of technological change, IT professionals need to continuously develop their skillsets and expertise. Organizations -- including Pega's global 3000 clients -- seek to hire individuals with the most up-to-date skills to build, maintain, and advance the technology that provides a competitive advantage. To help meet increasing professional demands and improve job opportunities for graduating seniors, Pega launched the University Academic Program to train students on the in-demand skills its clients are seeking.
Through the University Academic Program, students majoring in computer science, business information technology, or computer information systems can supplement their existing academic curriculum while preparing for professional IT certification. Students will develop a strong foundation in intelligent business process management (iBPM) skills based on the industry-leading Pega® 7 Platform used by many of the world's top organizations. In early 2017, the curriculum will expand to include a decisioning and analytics course to prepare students for the increasing needs of businesses implementing Pega's artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities within their organization.
The current program consists of 19 universities with plans to expand to more schools in the coming year. For more information on the University Academic Program, please visit: https://www.pega.com/services/pega-academy/un...ic-program
