It's a twice-a-week IV therapy so is difficult for certain patients to get treatment, plus there is the expense of IV therapy (much more than for something that can be self-administered). Also, it reduces the duration (for instance, from 30 to 10 days), which is good, but it would be better of course if it had efficacy for a higher percentage of patients.

The thing that would concern me with Soligenix's drug is that it is systemic. They say that their studies have shown it doesn't interfere with the cancer treatment, but who really knows with a systemic drug until years later when longer-term survival statistics are available?

I wonder if the one-two punch of treatment with this stuff AND with Bril-OM might prevent people from developing OM at all. We'll have to wait for Bril-OM studies to see what the efficacy is for B-OM. But a combo therapy might be a great thing, unless Bril-OM is super-efficacious for everyone so no combo therapy would be needed.
