Several years ago I found out that Costco was one of the phew food sellers that actually test their meat and such for disease when they receive the product. Most outfits accept the suppliers reports as proof. I also found out that Costco uses PCR so I wrote them a letter mentioning a little company in Hubbard Ohio.
I then thought that this might have an adverse reaction and confessed to Bret and sent him a copy of my letter. He appreciated me mentioning and replied that they had already been in contact with Costco. Costco sent me a nice reply and actually said they would forward it. Bottom line is I don't think it helped even though my intentions were to 1) thank them for the testing they do on their products prior to selling to the public and 2) to inform them nicely that PCR is a high priced test.
Bottom line, I don't think it helped but I still will mention the technology to anyone who seems to have an interest as I believe in the product and its worth to many different areas.

Dear Mr. Holbrook, Mr. Smith and Mr. Wilson,
I felt the information below might be of interest to Costco because of your remarkable meat testing policies. Incidentally the fact that Costco tests its meats before selling to the public, is a huge factor in my decision to purchase meat almost exclusively from Costco warehouses. I would hope that Mr. Holbrook, Wilson and Smith would find this information very interesting. I applaud Costco’s efforts to eliminate or contain pathogen problems in meat.
There is a Hubbard Ohio Company, NanoLogix, which sells their BNP or BNF kit which can accurately identify any traces of E.coli contained in the sample being tested, in under an hour. These test kits are extremely accurate while returning fast test results at a very attractive price compared to traditional petri dishes, E.coli is one of many bacteria that this product can identify. I am hoping the above product would be an improvement to or an additional testing method in your arsenal to identify and contain pathogen problems in meat and keep the public safe from tainted food. FYI, I am not a sales person but I am a stockholder and believer in Nanologix's technology and hope you will agree with my opinion.
