Another interesting NYSE holiday tidbit...
When New Years Day is on a Saturday the stock market must be open the following business day, so no observed New Years Day prior or post holiday for these instances, the last one was December 31st 2011 and the next one is December 31st 2021.
I get a floating holiday when that happens...
