Yes, it's a grey area and to those on "other" boards who would argue that Cheryl is guilty of insider trading or somehow leaking insider information to investors, I would argue that statements like, "Big news coming soon!" does NOT qualify as non-public material information which anyone could act on to gain an unfair advantage in the stock. Those posters know what they say holds no weight, they are simply out to put doubt in the minds of the weak and are always suggesting that management or the company is potentially up against SEC involvement, and other assorted legal hassles, but it's really just more basher spin zone nonsense. Cheryl is doing a phenomenal job being a spokesperson for the company and product. It's her job to raise awareness not only for the product but for the company, so the use of tweets, facebook, etc for marketing purposes are welcome and in no way is a violation of any SEC regulation.
