On 15th December 2016 the National Commission for Energy Control and Prices (hereinafter – the Commission) reviewed and increased the price of public service obligations (PSO) and public electricity price ceilings of 2017 for residential customers who buy electricity from low-voltage and medium-voltage networks.
Based on this, on 16th December 2016 the Board of ESO approved the revised public electricity prices, which will come into force from 2017 after the Commission’s announcement.
Compared to the second half of 2016 ESO proposed an average of 4.9% lower public electricity prices for residential customers as of 1st January 2017.
After the Commission’s announcement of final prices, ESO will issue a separate notice.
