MARICOPA, Ariz., Dec. 08, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Scottsdale-based Private Motorsports Group, a development team comprised of local business leaders in the automotive, real estate, technology and entertainment industries, announced its plan to develop Apex Motor Club, a 280-acre private motorsports country club in Maricopa, Arizona.

Apex Motor Club will be a comprehensive destination for Phoenix’s automobile enthusiasts and the only private motorsports club and race track within the metropolitan area boundaries of one of the six most populated cities in America. Located only 35 minutes from Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport, Apex’s convenient, easily accessible location and year-round racing season combine for what will be one of the most unique and ideal racing and club environments in the Southwest.

Apex will be comprised of six primary components: a four-mile multi-configuration asphalt road course designed by award-winning designer Bob Barnard of Motorsports Service International; a 12,000 square foot clubhouse containing indoor and outdoor dining rooms, lounges, meeting rooms, fitness center, classrooms and locker rooms; a 12,000 square foot multi-purpose building for member and Apex sponsored functions; a 12-acre karting facility and multi-configuration kart track; a tuning shop, vehicle concierge facility and fuel station; and approximately 200 automobile condominiums ranging in size from 600 square feet to over 1,800 square feet located from trackside to adjacent to the Apex Clubhouse.
