Extension to UK asylum accommodation contract

G4S, the leading global integrated security company, is pleased to note the Immigration Minister's Written Ministerial Statement on asylum seeker accommodation in the UK, laid before the House of Commons today.

G4S has continued to work closely and co-operatively with the Home Office to improve service delivery and efficiency and to support a sustainable contract extension.

Following the improvements made in service delivery and clarification of the extension arrangements, the company expects the loss making Compass contract to be delivered broadly in line with the onerous contract provision already established in the group balance sheet.
