All said and done, it does make sense that the company chose to skip the CES. Nokia already has Lumia 920 available on AT&T. it is also said to have an agreement with Ma Bell to have the exclusivity for its top device lineup. Lumia 822 is on Verizon and 810 is available on T-Mobile.

The launch of Lumia 900 in January was a crucial part of the bungles that resulted in a dismal failure of the first-gen Lumia sales. Hence, cancelling the CES event, concentrating on MWC and the planning on releasing the new spring-summer Lumia line-up seems to be a good idea.

Shares of NOK rose for the third consecutive session on Tuesday and gained 6.33% to $4.20. Moreover, the stock is up another 3.10% at $4.33 in pre-open session.
