Arduino Celebrates Grand Opening of First-of-its-Kind Retail Store

San Jose, CA, Dec. 06, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Arduino, the world’s leading open-source ecosystem for Education, Maker and IoT markets, in partnership with ALLNET, developer and manufacturer of advanced networking and communications technology, today announced the Grand Opening of the first Arduino retail store. On December 10th, Arduino will open its doors to waiting customers in the heart of Berlin Prenzlauer Berg, where artists, entrepreneurs, teachers, and Makers can gather to build their latest projects.

Opening just in time for Christmas, the idea behind Arduino’s store is to offer an exciting space where people can play, code, learn, and Make using Arduino’s popular open-source hardware and software, including access to the tools, training, workshops, and experts they need to build new and exciting products.

“Not everyone has a personal workshop in their home or at work -- Makers need space, freedom and collaboration to invent using a variety of tools, machinery and creativity,” said Federico Musto, Arduino CEO. “As our Maker ecosystem continues to grow and become much more sophisticated, we are thrilled to be opening our first retail store, and the first of its kind in the Maker Community, giving our passionate customers the ability to find unique products and projects, and experience on-site access to experts in technology areas like engineering, robotics, coding, soldering, as well as industry projects applying to healthcare, wearables, smart cars, cities, and more. We are extremely happy to strengthen our partnership with ALLNET to see this dream become reality.”

Join us for our Grand Opening, Saturday, December 10 th , meet Arduino experts and executives, and learn from hundreds of Arduino Makers. There will be music, fashion, food, and Arduino projects in action. For more information, please visit (link).

“We’re incredibly happy to be partnering with Arduino in the first ever Arduino retail store where our customers can come, share projects, and exchange ideas with other makers to simply get inspired,” said Wolfgang Marcus Bauer, ALLNET CEO. “This store will make Making even more fun. Akin to the popular Maker Faire’s, which take place all around the world, this store gives creative people of all ages a place to go, experience the fun that Making provides, and learn how to work with technology like never before. We are also excited to provide a place where teachers can visit and be trained on open source products in order to bring it to the schools.”

Arduino will be offering products from Brick’R’knowledge, the extendable electronic system to learn, experiment and develop for younger Makers. It is suitable for building prototypes and products in homes and in schools. Customers will also find all robots by Makeblock at the Arduino store, helping people build and program robots, easily controlled via Bluetooth.

About ALLNET ALLNET’s ten business units provide deep ICT expertise. The well-founded consulting and free pre-and post-sales support are included as well as fixed points of contact for all products. A strong and close partnership to other leading IT manufacturers, resellers and end users is the basis for our success.
