After Charlotte-Mecklenburg District Attorney Andrew Murray decided not to charge a police officer in the shooting of an African-American man, demonstrations broke out in Charlotte.
Authorities arrested four protesters who refused to get off of downtown city streets and stay on the sidewalk. They were charged with obstructing traffic. The rally was otherwise peaceful.
After the arrests, Charlotte Uprising, the organizer of the demonstration, took to Twitter to ask for bail money
