While on November 4, 2016, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration Antimicrobial Drugs Advisory Committee narrowly recommended approval of solithromycin saying its effectiveness outweighed the toxicity risks, on November 2, 2016, one analyst reduced the analyst’s estimated peak solithromycin sales, assuming approval, by over 75%.
