FINRA has cracked down on companies doing reverse splits so it no longer is an option for many companies. It really is a better strategy to use a small R/S on an UPLIST where it is accepted by investors as a bullish move when a company is leaving the OTC for the NASDAQ.
This is why so many penny scam companies are disappearing from the OTC. They are allowed to r/s one time and then FINRA shuts the gate on them and they wither away and die at no bid.
