Connie Kalitta was honored yesterday with first-ever NHRA Lifetime Achievement Award for his drag racing career. It's been well-documented, but it's worth echoing that this man is an incredibly successful individual. Amazingly, it was his drag racing winnings of the 1960's that would enable him to purchase the twin engine Cessna with which he got his start in the air transport business, eventually becoming Kalitta Air and later launching Kalitta Leasing. Very inspiring success story. Looking forward to his influence impacting Baltia in a life-changing way.
