I dont believe a criminal cares about jail time for owning a pistol. I dont think they care about a weapons ban. The weapons are all there and i believe you will never get rid of them. Bad people will get guns no matter what. End of story. Assault rifles .. Maybe. Tere should be an extremely strict test before one can buy these. One common factor in most if not all of the shootings is youth. The shooter is almost always young. Early 20s. Direct the attention that way. Banning guns wont solve the problem and us hunters already go through enough to enjoy our sport and put meat on the table. Buisnesses will suffer drastically. And we will have no protection when the time comes and your in your house with your family while the fully armed robber comes in to take what he wants. Drugs are illegal. What exactly does this do to stop it? Shooting innocent people is illegal. What does that do to stop it? Whats next, bows n arrows, bats, so on so fourth. Hell they cant ban fertilizer? Or can they? Point is, if a nutcase wants to do something he will. Us law abiding folk shouldnt have to suffer for that. You wont hear about the lives saved by guns. Will you...
