Towards the Alignment of the economically profitable with the ecological viable Oil and Gas Field by means of a Preventive Approach, the Use of the Life Cycle Concept and the effective implementation of Innovations, New Technologies and latest Best Practices
I OBJECTIVE:
Workshop Participants will learn the theory and practice of the concept of “The Sustainable Oil and Gas Field” that is based on the preventive and proactive application of Methodologies, Procedures, Best Practices and Recent Technological Innovations to prevent and reduce the risk of environmental incidents/accidents resulting from processes and activities in Oil and Gas fields.
What Is it?
It is a Development Concept of an Oil or Gas Field that supports producing Oil and Gas without polluting the ground, water and air on the work site and surrounding areas. It is also caring for the Safety of the Staff and the Integrity of the Assets. This is enabled by implementing measures that are both, ecological compatible and economical profitable.
How is this achieved?
It is achieved by a deep understanding of the underlying processes and activities of the Oil and Gas Field Development and Operation as well as by the use of a preventive Approach to remove problems before they happen - at the early stages of the project that are identified at the Environmental Impact Assessment EIA Stage. It also incorporates the application of a Life Cycle Approach to consider the entire process life span and the details behind it. Above is supported by the deployment of proven Experts that jointly with the company staff, evaluate each case and recommend the best fit for purpose measures and their implementation procedure and strategy.
