Gohmert: Congress Will Find the Money to Pay for Trump's Border Wall
Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-TX) believes it's vitally important for the Republican Congress to work with President-elect Donald Trump on his aggressive domestic agenda, for the good of the nation.
On "America's News HQ" today, Gohmert explained that Americans elected Trump because he promised major changes in health care, jobs and immigration.
He said it's now the Republican Party's job to follow through.
Gohmert pointed to Trump's planned wall along the U.S.-Mexico border, saying that he's not giving up hope on Mexico paying for it.
He said if that proves to be impossible, however, he thinks that Congress can still find the money to pay for it, and they should.
"Money is either there or it's grabbable to start the wall," Gohmert said.
He reiterated that Republicans must unite behind Trump and begin the real work of "saving America."
"We have got to do this for the sake of the next generation. We've been given a reprieve. We need to take it with all the vitality we can and drive this agenda that Trump was elected on home."
