We have been working on a redesign of the GG site for months and are very proud and excited to share it with our shareholders and our gaming members. It was brought online last night and we are hoping that everyone will go and check out our platform. This is the culmination of a lot of feedback from the eSports community, and we believe that it now matches up with our world-class tournament platform and social network.
The Company has strengthened its management team with an important new hire. Specifically, GG is proud to announce that Tim Bergmann has joined our team as COO. Tim is stepping in to take the place of our deceased co-founder Mike Beckford who passed away a few months ago. Tim's experience in eSports is unparalleled both as a world-class gamer, and someone who has experience at every level in the gaming business. Tim has already made invaluable contacts for us in several avenues of the business. His contacts include publishers, world champion players, and people who are in positions of power throughout the gaming world.
Good Gaming is announcing that the Company is going to be greatly enhancing its tournament schedule. GG is going to start offering tournaments on Tuesday and Thursday nights, and will be offering larger tournaments on Saturdays that will continue Sunday. The purses are being dramatically increased to thousands of dollars on the weekends. GG is now into the phase of development where it is time to "go big or go home". We are in the process of finishing up an app for the Hearthstone game. We expect it to be done this week. We believe that it has a chance to help revolutionize the game. We have shown it to a number of people connected to the Hearthstone world and they are very excited and anxiously awaiting its release. We expect to have it in beta testing by week's end. With a bit of luck, we are hoping that this app will provide us with an unmatched calling card into the eSports world.
We have been speaking to numerous parties concerning funding going forward to provide us the ability to deliver on the promise of GG. While that is ongoing, our original funders have committed to provide financing while we finish with permanent funding. In addition, they agreed with us that it was time to expand our tournaments and prize pools and have committed to providing funding for that part of the project. We are very pleased to have their support which means we will not have to worry about our game plan because we will not run out of funding.
In closing we would like to take this chance to try and explain to our loyal shareholders that eSports gaming businesses like Good Gaming do not come together overnight, that there are many pieces that must be put in place and come together. But we are getting there and the foundation is now laid. With the addition of Tim Bergmann, and several projects that are in the works, we are very close to delivering on a significant amount of promise envisioned by all of us from the beginning of this project launched three years ago.
