Puration Plans California Office in Anticipation of $6.5 Billion Legal Cannabis Market If George Soros Has His Way On November Ballot
DALLAS, TX / ACCESSWIRE / November 1, 2016 / Puration, Inc. (PURA) today announced plans to open a business development office in California in anticipation of California's Proposition 64 referendum passing and making the State arguably the largest legal marijuana market in the world.
Puration has recently introduced a CBD infused water and signed a contract to infuse THC extract into beverages to be sold in Colorado. Puration's office in California would be responsible for signing similar contracts to infuse Puration's cannabis extract into food and beverage products for the State's 38 million population. California is the most populated state in the United States. Management indicates a California office has been in the works for some time now with a plan to have an office opened by election day.
California's Fair Political Practices Commission reports that more than $20 million has been contributed to the campaign to see Proposition 64 pass.

The liberal billionaire investor is reportedly behind the non-profit group called the Fund for Policy Reform, which has contributed nearly $4 million in support of Prop 64. Soros is a board member at the Drug Policy Alliance, according to the group's website.
California's Department of Finance has estimated that the state could bring in as much as $1 billion in tax revenues every year from legal cannabis sales if Prop 64 passes. The state's legal marijuana market, an estimated $2.7 billion from medical pot, could reach $6.5 billion by 2020 with the addition of recreational sales, according to ArcView Group's estimate.
Recent polls show that roughly 60% of California's voters support the ballot measure.
