Nasdaq Commodities is pleased to announce the signing of a Market Maker for the German Wind Index Futures contracts, effective November 1, 2016.
Georg Aasen, Head of Nasdaq’s Oslo-based Commodities exchange Nasdaq Oslo ASA, said: “We are very pleased to welcome a Market Maker to our German Wind Index Futures. This is part of a strategic development for Nasdaq Commodities and we see this as a strong contribution in our position as an innovator in a changing European power market.”
Nasdaq Commodities is also very satisfied with the October numbers in the German Wind Index Futures contracts, which reached a new monthly record of 25 200 wph (previous monthly record: September 2016 at 18 625 wph.)
Nasdaq Commodities launched the German Wind Index Futures contracts on December 8, 2015. The contracts use the Renewable Wind Index for Germany, NAREX-WIDE, as underlying.
