Global design and BIM software developer Vectorworks, Inc. (Vectorworks), and BIMobject AB (BIMobject) today announce that the BIMobject App, that integrates the BIMobject Cloud with direct access to manufacturers' product libraries, will be provided as a part of Vectorworks Architect 2017 Service Pack 1.
The BIMobject App will be available for all Vectorworks 650,000 users as a pre-installed tool, where no installation will be necessary. This is the latest BIMobject tool that will allow users to instantly, and with ease, search, browse and select BIM objects for direct placement into their BIM projects in Vectorworks.
The BIMobject App for Vectorworks is unique in that it manages and downloads not only Vectorworks native content, but also transparently converts file formats from AutoCAD, SketchUp and 3DS, in the BIMobject Cloud into information-rich Vectorworks content. This is done entirely in the background and delivers the exact user experience no matter the format of the source data. It will allow Vectorworks users access to over 4,600 product families from 260 brands as of today.
