Why begin the process of reducing outstanding shar

Why begin the process of reducing outstanding shares & most importantly - authorized shares if the company's preferred method of financing has been through the conversion of shares? If the buyback was a red herring - they wouldn't bother to lower the Authorized.. So I have a feeling that we may see significant revenue this quarter.
3 new shareholder communication platforms launching this Friday..This could be interesting.
Lastly, why does the reduction process go in effect after 4pm? Is the company going to engage in a t-trade purchase transaction?
I really hope TPAC will do something to bring us out of the trips..
