Bernie Sanders’ Response Shows Why Nobody Cares About The Clinton Wikileaks Emails

Mon, Oct 24th, 2016 at 4:16 pm

When asked about the leaked emails from Hillary Clinton’s campaign, Sen. Bernie Sanders’ reaction matched that of voters everywhere.

The Washington Post asked Sen. Sanders about the Wikileaks (via Putin) emails, and his response summed up the failure of the entire Trump/Wikileaks/Putin get Clinton operation, “Trust me, if they went into our emails — I suppose which may happen, who knows — I’m sure there would be statements that would be less than flattering about, you know, the Clinton staff. That’s what happens in campaigns.”

That’s the problem with the Wikileaks surprise that was supposed to bring down Hillary Clinton. The emails are full of campaign people doing campaign things because they are trying to win an election.

Campaigns at any level aren’t nice to their opponents. There probably is lots of negative things in emails of Sanders campaign staff about Hillary Clinton, which is normal, because Sanders was trying to beat Clinton and win the Democratic nomination.

Anyone who remembers how bitter the Clinton/Obama battle for the Democratic nomination was in public in 2008 can only imagine what the emails were saying in both campaigns behind closed doors.

Wikileaks is so obviously trying to assist Trump by releasing emails that were more an invasion of privacy than a revelation to benefit the public interest that the organization has damaged its own credibility.

The value of the emails is reduced to virtually nothing when the person being discussed shrugs them off and says eh, politics happen.

The emails have failed, because nobody cares, which is why Hillary Clinton is well on her way to being elected the next President Of The United States of America.
