I don't know how the rule applies to short sales without looking into it because I don't short sell. Not to say I never will, but it would definitely be best to have a lot of "disposable" capital. If you get caught on the wrong side of a pps explosion you can lose many times the worth of your short sale. Not my cup of tea.
