One of my acquaintances has no problem financially investing in stocks over $50 a share.
That's 50 dollars for every share. Buying OWCP at only .16 cents isn't only considered pocket change; it's pocket lint; simply not worth it.
Think about that for a second. On one side of the market universe, most investors in these boards are only willing to buy shares in the pennies. On the other side are the whales. Big time investors able and willing to invest dollars per shares but ONLY once they see the price starting to climb.
I am personally convinced these whales are becoming more aware of OWCP every day. I am also personally convinced these big-time investors are waiting for the share price to reach $1 before creating huge positions worth hundreds of thousands of dollars.
Someone in the other board asked why doesn't one rich investor buy all the shares of OWCP right now? The thing is, this person isn't thinking like an investor. Yes, millionaires could easily buy every single penny stock share in every single penny stock company, and still have millions to spare.
So why don't they? Because its not worth it. Serious investors think differently than amateurs. Unlike amateur investors who buy shares of any 'promising' company, serious investors don't diversify. Instead they concentrate their efforts into just a few major plays.
Most importantly, serious 'whales' don't invest on their own. They have teams of people scouring for the best plays. And more often than not, the best plays are over $1.
Again, once OWCP reaches $1, I think it will be too late for the average investor to afford OWCP because by that time, the big boys will have taken over.
