Good post OT. I hope others are able to get a sense of the timing based on your expertise on the operations side.
My buddy is a drilling engineer with BP. For New Year's 2008 me and about 10 friends went to go visit him and his wife in Las Vegas. He literally got called away to Wyoming at the last minute and I only got to see him at the airport right after I flew in from New York. Then he had to catch a plane to some regional airport, ride tiny prop plane, and drive another 6 hours through snow to some remote well.
That was the last straw for him so he got his MBA and moved to the management side of the company so he wouldn't get called away all the time. Unfortunately, BP had that spill and he ended up working 70-80 hour weeks for a year to prepare for the court case.
I still haven't ever set foot in an oil field but I have a big appreciation for the complexities, time, and hard work that's gotta get done. So, I am now more than ever just focused on this as an investment and on where this company is going to be by this time next year.
