Members from a college feminist club are starting to issue “citations” to people on campus for “harassing behavior.”
The Feminist Action Club from Sierra College gave its members cards to hand out to people when they feel uncomfortable or threatened, reports Heat Street.
“You have received this card because you did something that made me feel uncomfortable and/or threatened,” the card reads.
The club works to promote feminist causes on their campus and in the surrounding area, according to the group’s Facebook page.
The cards also list potential offenses that might lead to someone receiving the card. The offenses include “whistling, kissing noises, ‘pssst’ noises.”
“Invading my space,” “making comments like ‘hey baby!’ and ‘smile,'” and “honking or shouting for my attention,” are also perceived as threatening.
The cards also condemn making “racist,” “transphobic” or “homophobic” statements or uninvited comments about someone’s body.
Last year, a group of college feminists at Georgetown University demanded safe spaces and trigger warnings when a conservative feminist speaker gave a lecture on their campus. (RELATED:Militant Georgetown Feminists Demand ‘SAFE SPACE’ Because Of Scary 5’5″, 130-Lb. Woman)
Some protesters went to the lecture and held signs reading “Feminists Against RAPE Apology!” and “Trigger Warning: anti-feminism.” They also posted a sign that there was a safe space in another building on campus should someone need it.
