It's great that " 2 of 4 patients achieved full response (100% reduction)" on the LOWEST dose that they were going to try, and the other two got 50% reduction.
But what was also really important is that Brilacidin did NOT get into the bloodstream to any significant amount. Being able to confine it that way to just the area of the bowel that's being treated makes it a lot more feasible for daily use. It would be bad for people to be taking a systemic antibiotic over the long term -- but this means that people can safely use this for as long as they need to.
Also the fact that one of the 4 patients who was helped by Bril nevertheless refused the final endoscopy shows exactly how invasive that test is, and why it is so incredibly stupid for the bashers to claim that there ought to be a control group for this trial. It would be unethical to subject someone to invasive and potentially dangerous tests, when there would be NO chance of benefit to themselves because they were getting a placebo.
